A Little Snippets About Me ;)

Here's a little snippets of myself.

Graduating from NUS in 2005 with a degree in Economics, I thought I would end up working in a bank or for the government drafting economic policies. That's pretty much the natural path most of my classmates took.

I took a road less travelled - I went into a career many frowned upon. I remembered my family and close friends commented out of good intentions about me wasting my university degree on this job.

I joined this career primarily because the person selling me the career was telling me how lucrative this business was, and how I was in control of time flexibility. I started dreaming of an easy life; I could relax all day at home and still earn a decent income stream right? How naïve I was back then!

Well... turns out she left out how hard I had to work to earn a decent income out of this business. I was working minimally 10-12 hours, occasionally on weekends. Of course, I can have the promised flexibility of time, but that would mean not working, and not working means no income. Sadly, I cannot afford such trade-off.

If you know of any planners who has been out there for some time, do applaud them. It really wasn't easy for them to survive the mental and emotional stress of this career. Thankfully, with 15 years of experiences now and with so many of my clients being so supportive and proactive in referring me to their family and friends, the journey is now much more easier. I no longer have to work those crazy long schedule anymore just for prospecting, and instead have more time now to cater to servicing my clients and building meaningful relationships with them.

Thankful to a supportive hubby and my 2 girls who are my motivation to strive harder.

As I continually upgrade myself with further education in financial planning, more knowledge was acquired. Wisdom grew with every setbacks and successes. Today, I'm proud to shout out that I'm able to advise on a wholesome financial planning, including tax and investment matters, as a Certified Financial Planner. I'm also a certified Estate Planner to advice on Will, Trust and LPA, so that the family of my clients are truly well taken care of, in the event of my clients' pre-early demise.

Passion for what I'm doing grew increasingly along the way, as I started to see the value that I'm bringing to my clients. Relationships forged with them brings further meaning into my work. Not a day goes by without me thinking about my work nor my clients today. Desiring to better their lives remains my goal and motivation to #touchinglives and #protectingdreams

Thankfully, all my hard work has paid off. I'm a MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table) member today, which puts me at the top 6% of Financial Planners in the world. I can only go so far with my clients' trust and support. Every referrals speaks so much of their trust in what I can do for their family and friends. They are my biggest cheerleaders.
